It's a brilliantly fun game, whether or not you've seen the show or know any of the backstory. The whole semi-cooperative thing is a ton of fun: Everyone working together for survival, except that a couple of players are secretly Cylons working to sabotage everything. Or they might be sleeper agents, thinking they're human until about halfway through the game. Lots of fun. Nothing spices up a boardgame like constant accusations of being a traiter flying across the table at all times. I have mixed feelings on the expansion though. The game sort of loses focus with it, trying to do too much for no better reason than "it happened in the show". Anyway, the base game is really a ton of fun. Play with backstabbing bastards.
