Arkham Horror Miniatures – Ai!
Arkham Horror is a game we haven’t yet covered on DowntimeTown (we’ll get to it soon), but it’s essentially a big Lovecraftian epic co-operative dicefest of horror and death and chocolate.
Fantasy Flight has just announced the upcoming release of Arkham Horror Investigator Packs, each containing two miniatures. Which means there must be many, many packs on the way if all the investigators from the game are to be covered.
You can read about the new minis here, and you can gaze at the photo below and try to look up her skirt or down her dress, or whatever it is you do with miniatures in your own home.

I’m looking forward to you tackling Arkham Horror, it’s probably my favourite boardgame of all time (it helps being a Lovecraft nut in this regard); will there be a Downtime Town video or are there no game mechanics that you want to spotlight from it? (This is assuming you like the game.)
BTW, in regard to the figures, I’ve always wanted proper figures for the characters in Arkham Horror, but the whole pre-painted thing (while nice looking) seems to have driven the price up a bit. I’m a tool tho so will probably buy these regardless!! <_<
Thats awesome, but I hope they do some proper lovecraftian gribblies! nobody makes proper weird monster sculpts like those except for RAFM, and the more the better. Heres hoping for some flying polyps, shoggoths, yithians and Mi-Go in the future!
Hmmm. Apparently, FFG have just cancelled this idea, because the majority of people thought they were too pricey. Makes sense, but a shame nonetheless. <_<
